In the 1980s, the Padín-Garrido family launched a small project to market Albariño wine in the growing regional market. Drawing on years of experience and expertise gained from crafting their own artisanal wine, they founded a Rías Baixas Albariño winery that would soon become a benchmark within the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin.

In 1980, the Specific Albariño Designation was established, and with Spain’s entry into the European Union, the Rías Baixas D.O. was created, marking a milestone in the history of Galician wine. Within this context, the family business of Manuel Padín and Carmen Garrido evolved into Bodegas Pablo Padín in 1989, incorporating cutting-edge technology and modern facilities.
